Pride in Durham has never been just a parade. It is a celebration of resilience, belonging, and love. This year the County could not provide sponsorship because of the risks tied to federal funding, but Pride has always come from the people, not government.
That is why I am raising $10,000 in grassroots contributions to support Pride. Friends and allies like Clay Aiken and other donors have already stepped up to match what we raise. Every dollar you give will be doubled, up to $20,000, so your support goes twice as far.
When our community faces challenges, we don’t back down. We come together, we take care of one another, and we make sure Pride remains strong.
